Andrea Ang

Andrea is a New York-based Singaporean theatre-maker, performer, puppeteer and teaching artist. She seeks to create inventive, original theatre that is thought-provoking, rich in pathos and moves audiences to see the unseen. Her artistic process relies heavily on collaboration, experimentation and a sense of play. She is most fascinated in exploring themes of morality and redemption, the liminal spaces of the immigrant identity and the meaning of home.
Her original work has been seen in New York, Maine, San Francisco and Singapore. She has developed work at New Victory LabWorks, Access Theater, SITI Lab, Barn Arts Residency and The Object Movement Residency
She is a graduate of SITI Company's Conservatory Program where she co-founded her company, Square One Collective.
